At Lloyd Morgan we strive towards best practice and sustainability at all times. We do not believe that these concepts should be limited to our customers, candidates and people; they should be extended to include the external environment and wider community in which we operate. As a result of this belief we have made the following commitments to the environment and to the community:
Our Commitment to the Environment
Our environmental policy aims to ensure we conserve resources, use energy efficient equipment, recycle and act to reduce our environmental impact wherever possible. We aim to monitor and improve our performance and to educate our people on environmental impacts and issues. We encourage our customers, candidates and people to take part in and support corporate clean up day, earth hour and other environmental initiatives. In addition, we provide philanthropic support of environmental organisations such as The Wilderness Society and Australian Conservation Foundation.

Our Commitment to the Community
Community Partnerships
Through volunteering, philanthropy and community partnerships, Lloyd Morgan supports a number of community projects.
Whilst we do not have a formal employee volunteering programme, our people are encouraged to participate in volunteer programs which are personally meaningful. To encourage these activities we offer flexible working hours and a paid leave for voluntary / community work.
At Christmas, rather than giving cards and gifts to our clients and candidates, we use these funds to make a charitable donation such as to the Smith Family in order to support their Christmas appeal. Throughout the year we support individual events and appeals of charities such as the World’s Greatest Shave, The Biggest Morning Tea and Loud Shirt Day.
Giving is Sweet
At Lloyd Morgan we believe that giving is sweet and in order to support and encourage the generosity of our people we have a company matched workplace giving scheme. Under this scheme all Australian employees are invited to make a pre-tax donation to charity; in turn we match pre-tax donations dollar for dollar, making this a great way to help those less fortunate than ourselves.
Contributing employees are invited to nominate the charities we support. In order to make a difference to as many individuals as possible, by supporting as many nominated charities as possible, we select a different charity from the list of nominees to be supported each month.
Our workplace giving scheme aims to support small, independent Australian charities that are meaningful to us and who will use the donations to make a tangible difference to our local communities. Examples of the charities we have supported in the past are: Youth Off the Streets, OzHarvest, Just Enough Faith and Cottage by the Sea.
Lloyd Morgan supports Canteen
On any one day in Australia, thousands of young people are thrown into a world of shock, fear, confusion and grief after being confronted with a cancer diagnosis.
In line with our believe that giving is sweet, Lloyd Morgan (with its parent company Clarius Group) became the first sponsor of Canteen's Give-A-Day. The initiative invites companies and their employees to donate a day’s pay, annual leave or paid company leave to CanTeen, the Australian organisation supporting 12-24 year olds living with cancer.
In 2009, the first year of Give-A-Day, we raised $22,000. Since then, we are delighted that the bar has steadily risen, raising $27,000 in 2010 and over $34,000 in 2011. That's an encouraging total of over $83,000, making a difference to many young lives.
